G
Green — Overly acidic or tart, too herbal in aroma and flavor; under-ripe
Grip — A strong finish; noticeable sensation in the mouth.
H
Hard — Too tannic or acidic; not aged sufficiently in the bottle.
Hearty — The full, warm qualities of red wines, high in alcohol.
Herbaceous — Grassy, vegetable tones and aromas
Hot — Too alcoholic; described in degrees from warm to hot. (See Aftertaste)
J
Jammy — The flavors of preserves in contrast to fresh fruit, a characteristic of red wines from hot climates.
